Night Warehouse Lead
Scope:
Responsible for leading the night shift warehouse personnel. Assures that safety and warehouse procedures and guidelines are followed. Reports to Warehouse Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Writes performance appraisals for all warehouse workers on night shift for Warehouse Manager’s approval
- Insure that all receiving is done in accordance with company guidelines
- Utilize least expensive transportation (commensurate with good business practices) when shipping merchandise by common carrier
- Stock merchandise in accordance with inventory listing
- Maintain a neat and clean warehouse
- Insure all safety equipment is used and maintained in working order
- Insure all day shift warehouse employees are wearing proper safety shoes and uniforms
- Insure safety belts are worn while working
- Attend and participate in all safety meetings
- Insure all fire extinguishers are in working order and have been inspected on an annual basis
- Work with safety coordinator on the implementation and training of all safety policies and guidelines
- Insure safety inspection report is turned in every Monday
Skills and Requirements:
- Proven ability to lead a group
- Previous warehouse experience
- Knowledge of RF system
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to pass drug screen/background check
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of Word or PC skills
- Wear safety shoes, belts, and company furnished uniforms at all times
- Ability to ensure lifting of heavy objects is done safely and train employees
- High School diploma or equivalent required
